I have been playing Minecraft since it was in alpha testing on PC. It is a great game that is as simple or complicated as you want it to be. If you want to get a bit more complicated here are a couple of basic Minecraft Tutorials to get you started. For my full Minecraft playlist click here.
Railways
The first introduces you to Minecraft’s rail system. It is a great way to gad about in Minecraftia and will earn you a trophy if your mine cart takes you 500m away from it’s start point. It took me ages to get this one as rails are fairly resource heavy. In the video I just look at the basic rails and mine carts, what they do and how to use them.
Railways and Hoppers
This Minecraft tutorial shows you how to use hoppers to unload minecarts, a brilliant way to get all that mining material back to base with out having to walk all the way. Freeing you up to max out your digging time.
Sticky Piston Doors
Sticky pistons are great fun to work with and have all sorts of uses, in this tutorial I show you how to build a 4 block entrance to your house, castle, condo, palace etc to give it something cooler than just a wooden door with a lever.
Redstone Repeaters
Redstone has always been a bit of a nightmare in Vanilla Minecraft. Mods like Tekkit for PC made it much more accessible and less of a pain. It is unlikely that the PS4 Version will get modded in this way so we have to make do with what we’ve got. This Minecraft tutorial is a gentle introduction to how repeaters work and the kinds of things they can do for your build.
